KWIKOM Wins Grant for Fiber Expansion in Western Lyon County, KS

KwiKom is pleased to announce expansion of gigabit fiber-optic Internet in rural Lyon County, KS. The upcoming project will deliver 10 gigabit capable fiber-optic Internet to the homes and businesses in the communities of Neosho Rapids and Hartford and adjacent rural areas of Eastern Lyon County.

This project will also establish a robust fiber backbone in Eastern Lyon County, a piece of critical infrastructure that will pace and encourage future development and investment. This project is the result of a co-investment partnership with the City of Hartford, the City of Neosho Rapids, and the State of Kansas Office of Broadband Development utilizing the Capital Project Fund. This project will begin in 2023 and be completed within 18 months of commencement.

KwiKom is a telecommunications company headquartered in Iola, Kansas. Our mission is to connect communities, rural and urban, with reliable, quality service using innovative technology and knowledgeable people. We are excited to bring KwiKom fiber to rural Lyon County and expand our fiber-optic services to the residents and businesses in and around Neosho Rapids and Hartford.
